Our Story
We are a proud family-run business with our own joinery workshop based in Basingstoke, dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and bespoke joinery solutions. Over the years, we have built a reputation for excellence, offering custom-made designs tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. From kitchens and wardrobes to reception desks and walk-in closets, we bring a personal touch to every project we undertake.
To manage larger commercial orders, we co-own a state-of-the-art factory in Lithuania. This partnership allows us to handle high-volume projects efficiently while maintaining the quality standards that define our work. Originally, all our Lithuanian factory staff were UK-based, but during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we successfully migrated operations while retaining our ability to implement British Standards across all our projects.
This unique arrangement provides the best of both worlds: the precision and capacity of a large-scale production facility and the attention to detail that comes from our family-run approach. Whether crafted in Basingstoke or Lithuania, every piece is built to our exacting standards and reflects our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Mindaugas Banys , the managing director of Tailored Joinery, managed the work from beginning to end in an exceptionally professional way. Firstly, there were meetings to decide drawings and designs as well as colours and finishes. Everything was clear on Mindaugas's laptop which has excellent software to enable instant changes to be made until we were completely satisfied. It took 3 meetings over 7 hours to finalise everything. The complexity of the various wardrobes and the large display unit in the lounge was clear when the materials arrived at our house ( total weight 1.5 tonnes). Mindaugas and his team meticulously installed the various items over 4 days working to very complex drawings, which demonstrated the accuracy of the laptop drawings. At all times we felt comfortable with the quality of workmanship and delighted with the final result .An added bonus was the integral lighting installed in the display cabinet. Innovative and effective. Mindaugas was on hand at all times through design, manufacture and installation and his experience and ideas were essential in helping us make final decisions. I would highly recommend Tailored Joinery and would use them for any future joinery installations without hesitation.

Can't praise Tailored Joinery enough. Mindaugas (Mindy) is an absolute star. He was happy to spend a long time discussing our exact needs.....and I was very exacting! He has designed and fitted,beautifully, storage cupboards and shelving in our sitting room and designed and fitted panelling in the hallway. When I raised some doubts about the panelling he was very good at coming up with a slight change to the design with which we were all happy. His work has made our new flat feel like home. I hired Tailored Joinery Ltd to install my solid surface worktops. Incredibly impressed with the level of work that was done. He showed up on time, and worked in very high heat through the day, and then returned to finish on a Sunday! I’m very picky with my finishes, but Solid Joinery Ltd were able to accommodate every ask, no matter how small, and even carried out a few additional tasks to help me out, free or charge! Extremely happy with the entire process - from meticulous design consultation, to being supporting with adjustments and amends to the design, to high quality materials and detailed installation - all delivered with great professionalism and service. It's hard to describe the positive experience fully - but what I would say is that tey are completely and thoroughly recommended - so it would be worth contacting them and discussing your project and seeing what you think. We had some work done in a living room and bedroom - custom in-built units of varying sizes and designs. All were designed bespoke and all have turned out to be excellent.

I was very fortunate that I came across Tailored Joinery’s profile in this website and met Linas and Mindaugas. Mindaugas patiently spent a great deal of time (3 face to face sessions and lots of chats in WhatsApp) to help us optimise our planned layout, selected material and colours. His spectacular ideas and software resulted in a layout which was optimised in cost getting the most out of our available space for the wardrobe. I was absolutely delighted to have found Tailored Joinery on MyBuilder and can not recommend the company highly enough. I used them to create a large bespoke corner bookcase/display unit from mdf which was laminated in exactly the colour I specified. Communication throughout the process was excellent and Tailored Joinery came to my home twice to create a 3D model of the shelves and then, once approved, built it in their factory in three parts which were put then together in my home. The company encouraged me to choose a laminate finish which looks fantastic and will be easy to keep clean. Mindy and Linas were very professional with an fastidious eye for detail. I would certainly recommend them to my friends and use them again.

Am extremely pleased with the built-in sliding door wardrobes and matching cupboard and drawers that Tailored Joinery created. I found Minda and Linas very professional, reliable and experienced. My storage requirements were noted and although I had some awkward room dimensions, all the difficulties were cheerfully overcome and a beautiful design sent to me quickly. The components were prepared offsite and assembled at home. All their work is of high standard of fit and finish including inside LED lighting and the tidy up at end. From start to finish communication was very good. Mindy answered our post very promptly and arranged an appointment. We discussed design, materials, and finish with approx costs taking into consideration the room limitations. He measured up and set out a clear time frame and payment schedule. Where do I start... My experience of Tailored Joinery Ltd is outstanding. They are the Mr P's, professional, precise, practical and personable.
